A European forum, organised by the Socialist Group in the Committee of the Regions, was held in Seville on Friday 26 November to discuss the European Green Pact. Members of the European Committee of the Regions, as well as other local and regional politicians from all over the world, Members of the European Parliament and EU Commissioners, representatives of relevant European associations and organisations and activists from progressive parties met under the slogan A fair Green Pact or just a Green Pact? The perspective of progressive regions and cities, with the aim of exchanging best practices and finding progressive solutions in support of the ecological transition.

Thus, in a visit to the PCT Cartuja, all attendees were able to learn the details of some initiatives that are currently underway in the Park and that are strongly linked to these objectives. This is the case of eCitySevilla, which aims to turn the Park into a decarbonised and 100% sustainable environment by 2025. Juan Manuel Rosauro, from Endesa, explained the project’s objectives to all the visitors at a small meeting held at the Marie Curie Technoincubator, with the support of PCT Cartuja and the JRC. Emasesa also presented the case of Cartuja Qanat, an innovative urban laboratory that will transform Thomas Alba Edison Avenue in the Park.
